Our monthly meetings are held on the first Thursday of the month in the WI Hall, Institute Hall, Lower Fold, Marple Bridge at 2.00 p.m. for a 2.15 p.m. start.
New Members and Visitors are always welcome.

FOOD WASTE - Simon Lea

​In response to the WI's National Campaign on food waste, Simon from Asda in Marple will be explaining how Asda is tackling this problem.

Textile artist Lesley will show us her stunning work celebrating the Venetian Carnival an model her sumptuous original costume designs

We welcome the return of Anne who will take us back to the time of our founding 100 years ago with her talk on the Pankhursts.

Keith will entertain us with a talk on the history of Roberts Bakery, a family-run company that's been baking for over 100 years.

Penny will inspire us as she talks about being born with dwarism and coping with childhood, marriage, children and society.

Anne is not just the owner of Taylor's fish and chip shop in Woodley but also a pioneer of community and adult learning schemes which help improve the lives fo local people.

ELIZABETH RAFFALD - SUZE APPLETON
Suze will tell us about Elizabeth Raffald, an 18th century celebrity chef and entrepreneur who published Manchester's first trade directory.
She will also explain why Elizabeth deserves to be remembered!
